Nova Scotia : Off the Beaten Path sets out to explore a side of Nova Scotia less seen; the Nova Scotia known to locals, wanderers and the curious (and sometimes to poor navigators!)
We love this province. We made it our home almost 13 years ago, and since then we’ve tried to explore new places whenever we can. Oftentimes, friends and neighbours had never heard of the places we’ve discovered, and that is the inspiration for this project.
We want to seek out and share all those hidden gems along backroads and byways: restaurants and diners; craft breweries and wineries; hidden beaches and adventurous hikes; roadside stop-offs, jaw dropping vistas and, of course, those uniquely Nova Scotian experiences that give pause and raise a smile, or maybe a puzzled shake of the head.
Off the Beaten Path is by default a work in progress. It may become a book one day. For now, though, it is a collection of hidden gems from which you can fashion your own uniquely Nova Scotian experience.
